It’s a Krull, Krull World

{August 06, 2007}   Welcome to Chi Delta Epsilon

I just letting you know that I not going to there on Sunday when you get initiated into the sorority, but i wish you all the luck. The reason that i can not be there to see you get initiated is because it is physically and emotionally draining for me. Although i hope that you can strive to make this organization bigger and better than what it is. The older member dreamed of becoming a national sorority and maybe you could do that.
Just because i will not be there on Sunday that does not mean that i have dropped off the face of the earth. You can always call me if you have any question. Don’t let anyone in the sorority try to walk all over you, you have a brilliant mind and this is your opportunity to use it. Don’t think that because you are new that you should just sit in meetings and look pretty. even though you are. If there is something that you want to say, say it. When you sign that scroll book we will be sisters and that bond will never go away.

{August 02, 2007}   Thanks for still talking to me

Recently I told one of my friends one of the biggest secrets and he was able to except it.  It has never been easy to tell people that my brother has schizophrenia.  Every body that I have dated knows about my brother but I’m very choosy about the friends I tell.  Every time I told one of my friends about my brother they looked at me like I as crazy.  I even had one friend stop being my friend after I told her.  It has been over ten years and it is still hard for me to talk about my brother.  I was at my cousin’s wedding and my friend Gimpy and his girlfriend were there.  My brother kept saying stupid things that made them question what he was doing.  At the end of the night I told Gimpy and his girlfriend that he has schizophrenia.  I saw the look of puzzlement and then the look of curiosity.  They asked me the simple question of when was he diagnosed and how old were you.  The next time Gimpy called me it made me so happy that I had a true friend.  I never told him that, that phone call ment the world to me, but I think he knows.
