Everyday women are abused verbally, emotionally, or physically and it is time that it stopped. It’s very shocking when it happens to you or someone you know. This last weekend one of my friends came to me freaked out because she was in terrible pain. It turned out that this was the second time she took the morning-after pill and this was its result. Now she is not the kind of person that would take a pregnancy scare lightly and most women start to use condoms (or some other kind of birth control) as soon as this happens. She, on the other hand, did not. This immediately sent up a red flag, so I asked her what is going on, and if she was getting raped by her boyfriend. She told me that he forces her to have sex and that he refuses to even wear condoms. THIS IS RAPE. I’ve seen the bruises on her arms and there’s nothing that I can do. I wish that I could throw the bastard in jail so that he could stop hurting her. Everyday the sick thought runs through my mind that I will get a phone call saying that she is in the hospital because he beat her. Why does this happen?
