Recently, I traveled to Columbus to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers in concert. Personally, I heard them on the radio but never got into it; now I can’t stop listening to their music. The only complaint I have about that night was the opening band. They were terrible. They had a vocalist, bass and electric guitars, drums, and a clarinet. That’s right…a freakin clarinet. At the end of their performance they received a standing ovation because the audience wanted them off the stage. When the Red Hot Chili Peppers came out, they were unbelievable. That was one of the best concerts I have ever attended. I was dancing and moving around like a fool. I didn’t even care that the drummer decided to come out in a Michigan shirt (small problem considering the concert was at Ohio State University). The best part of the night wasn’t the band, even though it was amazing, it was the look on my boyfriend’s face; I don’t think that I have ever seen him happier. I was able to make his birthday special.
